Dr. Higazy well received in Doha – Qatar
March 2010

Dr. El Mostafa Higazy, Ph.D, P.E., spoke at the 3rd World Congress for Muslim Philanthropy (WCMP) which was held in Doha in March 2010. The WCMP is a global network of donors, foundations and socially responsive corporations established to advance effective and accountable giving.

In line with this year’s theme – “Building a Better World: New Horizons, Sound Strategies” – Dr. Higazy’s lecture was appropriately titled “Human Supra Institutions of Thinking and Achievement – Their Sustainable Reform in the Islamic World Context of Today”.

The presentation which tackled institutionalizing philanthropy from a human terminus approach struck a chord with the audience. Dr. Higazy’s approach was described as fresh and painfully true.

He called for revisiting the purpose behind philanthropic action and linking it to a human terminus applying the Termini Context Thinking (TCT) Approach. When having the proper “end in mind”, sustainability, development, efficiency and efficacy are guaranteed.

We need to get out of the loop and vicious circle of relief philanthropy, and we should start looking at the real purpose behind it; which is development and guaranteeing to each and every human being his freedom, dignity and proper justice.
